This seemed like one of the few nice hotels in the city of Santa marta. It was new so = super clean. The guy at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and shower was big and had good water pressure. It was a nice break after all the nature stays I.e away from all the bugs/mosquitos. The pool at the top was such a relaxing place (including hot tub). There’s a restaurant on top that serves decent meals. Tasty dishes and reasonably priced.
Santa Marta is small city. Down town built by 4-5 blocks.
Out side of the old town you can find chain hotels as big buildings.
But if you are looking for something special to stay is Cada de Leda.
It is Very nice and unique hotel building.
Terrace is very nice to sit back and relax.
Location is few steps to down town.
If you want to go to Taganga beach takes 20 minutes by car, if you want to go to Rodadero beach takes 20 minutes as well.

Placita Vieja's location won my attention, it sits facing a park ( parque de Los Novios ) I needed a clean safe place to sleep before my four day backpacking trek to the the Lost City. I also appreciated the variety of restaurants in the area.

Great view and super friendly owners and staff. They also run Babaganush restaurant, really delicious food and good service as well. Rooms clean and comfortable. Very nice roof terrace with comfy lounge couches and hammocks.
Loved our stay here. Really, nice, clean, spacious room, with a great bed. The upstairs terrace pool area is amazing, with great views of the city and the Sierra Nevada. The staff were brilliant and the breakfast was delicious and enormous. Will be going back for sure. It was a good place for remote work for both my partner and I.
Loved the hotel, the views, the people. But just know you'll have to walk up tons of stairs to get up and down and deal with a few bugs and luke warm water
Very nice hotel in central area. Value for money is right on. Stay here comfortably. Breakfast is made fresh. Staff including the front desk people were polite and attentive.
Great hotel for a good price. Clean, spacious rooms, with mini kitchen.
Breakfast was good - not too small, not too big, with options to order additional from the menu for a reasonable price. Served on the terrace, by the pool.
Pool is small, but clean and great addition to the offer.

The best place to stay in Santa Marta. Everything thought out, modern and new. Very comfortable and large apartments. Huge nice beds and top quality linens. Stuff is very helpful and always nice. Great location and unbeatable view! Must visit!
Excellent value. Nice, new, fresh, very clean hotel. Close to center, close to sea. Kind service. Big room with decent bathroom... perfect when returning from Ciudad perdida trek :-) Do ask for a room with window or you will be stuck in a smaller windowless option!
