Reviews from visitors:
Where to start. Very disappointing. I have been a regular overnight stayer for over 20 years. They never acknowledge this when checking in.
Parking is absolutely ridiculous.
Check in, not friendly, not fast.
I had a corner king suite 0939.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, however the view was construction. Very noisy. Room service was good but extremely expensive. Was woken up by a couple arguing in the room next door. Ever since the Star took over it is not as good when it comes to accommodation and friendly staff.
Check out was quick but didn't really care when I complained about the room next door.
Won't be staying here again when you can get better service and price within walking distance.
Went to enjoy last day of lobster mornay special. Amazing deal, food 1st class. Very busy, but handled well. Social distance adhered to. Going back for Moreton Bay Bug deal soon. Great promos to get people out again. Well done. Too busy eating, forgot to take photo...
I had such a wonderful overnight staycation here. Even though I'm not a massive on gamer on the casino side, I definitely made the most of all the facilities that were available thats for sure.
Automation rooms. Gee wiz, I wanted to know how to turn the dam thing off because everything you left the room you'd return to a dimly lit room, curtains fully drawn and it was day time, good for the night time but not the greatest when you want natural light to filter through the sheer curtains. The room layout has good flow, if you want a good soak in the XL bathtub meant for 2 what a treat, the bose sound system is everywhere, even in the bathroom you can either play your own tunes via bluetooth or u can switch it over to the TV. There no mini bar at the moment, you can place your order via in room dining. Restaurants have varied time schedules if you plan to dine there, NO jacuzzi, steam room, or sauna available because of Covid19. If you want undercover parking you can park next door at the star and then get transported over to the darling.
If your a solo traveller it pays to just book the room instead of including breakfast unless you can eat and drink $40 worth of product. I couldn't but I learnt fro..tbis experience..
Level 18 is the private room game tables, I had to ask reception as when I went there know one was around.
I was pretty spoilt to have enjoyed the whole pool area to myself mid morning, I guess the slight wind turned people off even though it was a stellar day and the gym i had to myself in the afternoon until this morning when I went back. But we can't always have these places to ourselves all the time as they are for everyone but it sooo good when you do get to enjoy all the equipment.
The decor, furniture, artistry and .ar ke that runs through this place is good quality. I went with no expectations and had a quality stay.
Overall, great hotel for a weekend or holiday of shopping, entertainment, and dining, with good hotel amenities.
Fantastic river/city views, dining establishments, entertainment, parking facility and location.
Good room facilities, cleanliness standards and services.
A shame that there are no beach view or direct beach access.
The hotel has been refurbished. The beds and pillows feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. They are so comfortable. The pool and pool bar are excellent. Plenty of shade if you want it. We have visited most of the restaurants. The front of house and wait staff are lovely. They have been very welcoming of my small grand children. I’ll look forward to coming to stay again.
