I loved it here. I stayed in February 2020. The staff cannot do enough and are so polite.
I think I was staying in one of their more expensive rooms. The top rooms are extremely well designed. All of the little extras are very thoughtful. The rain shower was simply divine as were the toiletries in the room.
The one piece of feedback I would give is that breakfast could have been better. The breakfast I had was a little dry and a little too much budget hotel in terms of taste.
I came needing a solid rest and a bit of pampering and this hotel really fit the bill.
The staff are outstanding and so professional. The location is beautiful. Rooms spacious and perfect for a break. The breakfast staff was extremely nice and helpful. The evening dinner staff couldn’t do enough for us to make our evening superb. Covid time is difficult enough but everyone was so lovely and helpful. The reception staff too so professional and helpful. Thank you for making our stay lovely.
Staff were attentive and extremely helpful, and nothing was too much to ask of them.
The rooms were clean, modern and the beds were very comfy.
Would definitely stay again!
We booked a sea view room for one night. We were woken up at 8.30 by works being carried out on the room below us or the balcony but it went on for half an hour and our room was vibrating. There was no prior warning or apology when we checked out. I have even sent communication to the duty Manager and heard nothing, complete disgrace to not even be acknowledged.
We also booked afternoon tea. Booked well on advance and my husband is gluten free and did not get what was on the menu, a slice of batten burgh, ginger cake and gluten free bread. Service was also very slow, forgetting our drinks which we had to ask for more than once. Also witnessed staff all taking masks off or not having them covered over their noses, couple of times even witnessed who looked like the Manager serve a table with his mask done past his mouth. Also not once did we witness them wash or anti bac their hands after going table to table. Not very COVID safe. Again sent an email heard nothing. The member of staff was very apologetic for the poor service
A nice comfortable stay, the receptionist was lovely. Our double room was nice but seemed to be for disabled persons which was a little odd. The Saturday morning breakfast staff were a little slow and we had to ask for everything instead of being asked, which again was a little odd considering it wasn't at all busy. Overall a good stay but might stay closer to the city centre next time.
