Checked in for just one night.
The team was more than welcoming, trying to fullfil any requests. Thanks a lot to the team from receptionist over cleaning staff to spa team!
Access to spa is not limited by hours but by occupancy, but since we were there during the week there was always a free sauna, jacuzzi or hamam without interfering what the other guests.
Rooms are clean and the hotel was modermiz d in 2018, the standard room has a bit suboptimal bathroom with a bathtub.
We could use the spa shower after checkout when we came back from skiing and the hotel stores our stuff during the day.
Rich breakfast with good coffee.
For dinner there are three restaurants, potentially reservation might be a good idea and wasn't mentioned when we called the hotel to gather some infos.
Surely not the cheapest option in Zermatt, but it was worth it!
Booked Hotel Schweizerhof for the Attic Suite and was more than surprised how well it turned out.
Impeccable staff as well as facilities inside.

There were many things to appreciate about this hotel starting with the warmth and coziness of the lobby with reception connected to an open seating area with soft leather couches and beverage service. Also connected is an wood fired kitchen, bar and down the hall the included breakfast buffet that is delicious. For skiing they have very kind and friendly gentlemen to fit your rental skis then bring them to you ski locker that has boot dryers and actually unlocks with you hotel room key! The rooms are nice and warm and have windows and door to deck that easily open to view the surrounding beautiful mountains and get some fresh air. Down on the bottom level there is also an indoor pool and several sauna and steam rooms and cold rain showers. You can easily roll your luggage from the train station here in a few minutes then walk everywhere else such as shopping, restaurants and the ski lifts or take the electric taxis or free electric shuttle bus.
