A fabulous place for lunch or afternoon tea. The cakes and pastries are provided by Benita Pastalera in Bariloche and are exquisite. The carrot cake was superb. The location is idyllic with a view of Nahuel Huapi lake and beautiful gardens to walk around with an impressive waterfall. This place surprised us a lot! We went with a 1 year old and she was given coloured pencils and paper to keep her occupied. The interiors are fresh and modern and every angle has been well thought out. The ceramics were beautiful too. Also locally sourced by Patagonia Caliente. Highly recommended.
Five stars with a tremendous view. Old school hospitality. Great.
It seems that last time this hotel was renovated was back in the early 1970's. Everything was old and weary, floor was uneven, lights were dull, towels were very thoroughly used and cushions were virtually stinking. The only good thing in this hotel was the staff - two young men at the reception who spoke fluent English (not a common thing in this area) and were very helpful and very sympathetic.
It's a real shame owners do nothing to avoid this situation, given the potential this place has.
Old and sad 3rd floor rooms Grounds nice with a waterfall but wish we had spent $15 more to stay somewhere far nicer.
