Reviews from visitors:
High customer focus, great attention to detail, the team always followed up with us for any requests. The team made everyone feel welcomed, including our 2 dogs, they had a water bowl set up for them!
The room was not clean and I didn't have hot water in my room. I found it very dark and creepy.
This was our 3rd visit at St.Paul. We enjoyed the decor and ambience of this place. Each time we make sure to choose a different room cause each room has its special character. We love the architecture and the creativity behind the design of this hotel. We were on the top floor this time and we loved our high ceilings and the view. The staff are always professional and friendly. We were surprised by complimentary breakfast delivered to our room in the morning. Only thing I wish was that we don’t have COVID so we could’ve enjoyed the delicious food at Hambar, the restaurant within the hotel.
Great hotel overall, comfortable bed. My stay was during COVID so hotel service was reduce to the minimum. Unfortunately wifi was not working that evening there was an issue with the network, after a long day driving I just wanted to watch a movie on my computer at least but no wifi and TVs are very small in the room ( under 40inch) and not smart TV ( no Netflix etc) which is surprising for an hotel of this caliber and reputation... when I booked online on Marriott app it was stating a package with breakfast but it was actually a box with two croissants, one yogurt and orange juice ( plus 3 nespresso capsule). As all the restaurant in Montreal were open at that time I didn’t understand much why it was like this but at least it should have been mentioned in the booking that it was actually a breakfast box and not a full breakfast.
Other little irritant is that the mini bar was locked, so no access to cold water ( there was not even water bottles in the room), meaning have to drink not-so-cold water from the tap. Understanding this COVID situation, they could have perhaps just emptied the mini bar and at least let us put some water bottles to keep them cold ( as I saw in all other 4 hotels I’ve been during my 2 weeks stay in Quebec). Just these little details can make all the difference in the overall experience. Yes I got a fairly good price for the night ( around $200) but this doesn’t mean customer experience should be left aside.
I advised the reception upon checkout of these items and they mention they will follow-up with management, but an apology with a small credit/on the house drinks at their outside patio could have been appreciated.
Anyhow, staff were very friendly and spotless room, great location.
the As an titanium elite member with bonvoy, I didn’t find the feel of the usual service/room amenities with this hotel category. Hopefully they can work on these small things to make it a better overall experience!
Awesome Hotel in A great location. Only complaint is that we had to ask for breakfast to be sent up each morning instead of having it come regularly, but staff was very accommodating at all times.
