Reviews from visitors:
I have booked the penthouse twice now and plan to stay again and again. It is an incredible two floor apartment with sooo much space! Great for a large group to have a private celebration it sleeps up to 8 very comfortably. The living area has floor to celling windows, with a nice heigh celling, an open plan lounge area and fully fitted kitchen. We decided to cook and stay in as the apartment is so well finished and really has all you need to have a lovely time with friends. Built in sound system for music works well. The bedrooms are all so spacious with high quality ensuite bathrooms in ever room. I can't reccomend it enough great value for money. The best the city has to offer.
A totally and utterly horrendous stay from start to finish. Agree with reviews re RUDE staff, unhelpful and exceptional sarcastic. Two of my friends were refused entry and thrown out onto the the streets of a city they didn’t know.. despite the apartment booked for FOUR people. They didn’t help locate alternative accommodation, nor could they find my check in card which detailed two additional people.. and I had booked for 4 through booking.com AND I had let them know in the reception of a fourth person staying on the Saturday (the lady verbally said this was fine). The following morning the reception couldn’t decide why that had happened and said it was for insurance purposes they couldn’t stay because that room was for 2 and not 4 - a room they put me in! They tried to claim that I had t booked for 4, and that I didn’t write on the check in card (which they also could not locate at the time - personal data breaches here?!). We never resolved the issue the following morning. I was also locked out of the apartment building on THREE nights of my 4 night stay - baring in mind the reception is a 5min walk around the corner from the apartments. Not good for a girl on her own in the dark. Also a large buzzing noise the duration of my stay coming from the walls which hugely disturbed sleep.
A reception manager rang me following a 3 page complaint letter I sent answering saying “how can I help”. I knew from this point the girl was going to be extremely awkward and took absolutely no responsibility for the hotels actions in my stay. This phone call was truly quite horrific, how anyone can be in a customer service role who quite clearly has NO respect for members of the public who are totally well within their right to be annoyed at being thrown on the street for no reason is beyond me. She was rude, spoke over me continuously, had an answer which put me at fault for every single issue - even the key card can you believe?! We were told that we got thrown out for insurance reasons.. when I told her this and that is their fault here response was “do you honestly think we would move you from a 4 bed to a two bed? Why would we do that? We wouldn’t” as though I was lying?! They told me is was classed as a two bed! I didn’t make it up.. but by this point she had decided we were thrown out because I didn’t list 4 on the check in card - despite coming to the reception and informing a lady who said it was fine.. it appears it’s my job to make sure they carry out procedures correctly. But also clearly they can’t decide why were were thrown out because THEY don’t know! Unhelpful, dismissive, arrogant, sarcastic and honestly felt as though she was antagonising me. I can honestly say I’ve never dealt with someone so quite frankly disgusting.
So don’t bother to send a complaint here, because you will have to deal with her and then when you suggest that this is raised to a manager higher up because you don’t want to deal with her anymore.. there is a sarcastic and stuck up toned response from her to say “I can assure you that won’t be happening”.
Absolutely no acceptance of responsibility.
I can’t count the issues on two hands with this place. Never ever ever would I come back here.
The hotel is lovely with a great bar area and friendly check in staff. However I wouldn’t stay here again simply because the room was hotter than staying in Egypt. I must have always taken air con for granted because there isn’t any in these rooms and the windows hardly open which meant a very unrestful nights sleep.

Lucky to have 1 star. The young blonde lady behind reception was so rude during check in, chatting to the young lad, laughing around instead of checking us in, she told us to go to 151 Duke Street as we were staying in the apartments for us to find out that building was all locked up, so we called the hotel back up and spoke to a young man who advised us we was further down the road and he hung up the phone before giving directions, we then called back a couple of times and had no answer, so we had to walk around looking for the apartments ourselves. This was after we paid for early check in as well and didnt end up getting into the apartment until just before normal check in time as we were waiting that long for the lady to sort our room key out and then having to find the apartments. Will not be using this hotel again.
