Reviews from visitors:
+ excellent location, you can visit most of the touristic sites by foot and plus you have all the types of public transport connection metro, bus, train station just next to it.
+ Clean and nicely decorated
+ Comfortable bed
+ Excellent service staff
+ You have tea and coffee during the day unlimited
+ Shopping area and partying area are also on walking distance
A point for improvement could be the breakfast, which is a good one, but basic and it's ok for 2 days, but if you're staying longer it becomes monotonous. Plus, I didn't know it's possible to ask an omelette,it's not that obvious.
Definitely recommended
If you are looking for accommodation that feels welcoming and sincere, especially beyond the usual hotel chains, then this lovely guesthouse should be right for you. Once through the nondescript door, between the two shops, and up the old elevator you'll find a friendly and warm set of rooms. The central location should be enough, coupled with the helpful staff and the amazing views - especially if you can get one of the top floors.
I did not book this hotel. I booked the Ribeira Tejo by SHIADU on their own website, and somehow, the day that I landed and went to the hotel I had booked, I received an email letting me know that that hotel had had a fire and as such I would be relocated to the Tesouro da Baixa.
I did not have network nor wifi, so before I had to actually buy a SIM card to find out what happened, I went to the first hotel and waited for over an hour and a half, ringing the bell. No receptionist on the spot.
Once I arrived to Tesouro da Baixa, I was welcomed by the receptionist who gave me a room in the ATTIC. A room with no view, and no light. Nothing.
The breakfast was horrible. I had to order my juice four times from the lady working there before she, after 20 minutes, brought it to my table. I didn’t even bother taking it the upcoming days, although I paid for it.
The area is really bad, right next to a square infested with drug dealers and criminals.
Parking was a catastrophe. Over 40€ a night (I had a parking solution in the first hotel that I booked, and had to pay this amount because of their own mistake).
If a hotel has had a fire one month before, then WHY was I able to book it the night before I arrived?
If you’re making up for your own mistake, then WHY don’t you actually offer something to your distressed client?
All in all, this hotel cost me three times what I had paid for the original hotel, and it ruined my experience of Lisbon. This was all reported to the other receptionist during checkout, and not even an apology was given.
Avoid!
Nice and helpful staff and approach, compliance with the conditions regarding Covid absolute security. Very nice and clean rooms, great location.
Thank you.
Friendly staff. Perfect room. Clean. Well located. Small hotel with character. No complaints whatsoever. Will return next time in Lisboa.
