Quaint, lovely little place in the heart of the galle fort. Not many rooms but all are well appointed and have all the necessary room requirements. Definitely go for the double decker room. Good value for money in terms of what you get and compared to other similar priced places. No pool but you can use the pool at their sister hotel Deco on 44 which is just down the road
Located on Church Street . The quiet ambiance and great service of the hotel makes it a great location to stay. in.house guests are treated to complimentary tea/ coffee and a happy hour with cocktails. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished and the three suites are exceptional spaces.
Over the past eight years I've stayed three times in Frangipani and would always return. Very friendly professional operating family provides modern and spacious rooms in two buildings of each sites of the street in the absolute center of Galle Fort, just next to Barefoot. A really nice classical hotel with a great energy and somewhat colonial charm. The rooms are all a bit different and come with nice windows and a kettle. WiFi works well and the garden area is also great. Behind the second, older building you'll see why the hotel is named Frangipani.
Parawa House in Galle was a very nice experience. It is situated inside the Galle Fort off Pedlar Street hence all is in walking distance.
Our room and bathroom were very nicely furnished (we had 2 4-poster beds).
Breakfast was fabulous. Sitting in the small garden outside our room watching the huge kois in the pool was very relaxing.
The staff was very attentive and the owners very supportive.

A good hotel to try. No beach view or fancy decorations but it is made to reflect the old architecture inside the fort. Many hotels in Galle fort doesn’t have a parking space of their own, but this new hotel has a fairly good enough parking space. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable enough to dine in. I experienced my dinner here in a less crowded week day, and I think the calm atmosphere might not prevail in a busy night. They have a conventional menu as in any of the hotels in the area. They didn’t serve liquor. Food was tasty and the waiters were good and caring for our needs.
Excellent location in the Fort. Very good service. Friendly and helpful. Modern and comfortable room. Lovely shower. Only minor point was broken waste bin, and also needs better ventilation in the bathroom. Breakfast was superb. I would definitely stay again.
A perfect place for a stay within the Galle Fort. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Interior design was done beautifully and has an Indian look. Worth the money. Customer Service is friendly.
It is a small beautiful 10 - bedroom hotel in the Fort , at the corner of famous Pedlar Street and at the Rampart, having a wonderful sea view.It is an 150 years old building, lovely designed.I had a chat with the very friendly and helpful manager Andrew, who is very welcoming. Also the the whole staff plus security very polite. The entrance already is beautiful surrounded by colourful flowers. The rooms are very individually designed, I like the colours , very decent.
Ideal place for staying some days to experience the Fort and the surrounding of Galle
Stylish and quiet boutique hotel with 3 rooms. Nice and friendly staff with good English. Since we rented all 3 rooms, the small pool became ours although we didn't get time to enough it. Breakfast is a bit too simple but it is a nice time enjoying the breakfast in its private dining table with heritage decorations and a breeze. So convenient to walk to the beach yet surprisingly quiet inside.
We stayed in the family room with our 2 daughters, which is really big and clean. The hotel is so nicely decorated and the staff made everything to have us happy :-)
The breakfast was just amazing and the croissants as good as real French ones!! The girls were delighted! (and so were we ;-) We strongly recommend!
