Friendly and very quiet hotel on a calm, residential street. The garden is beautifully kept and the rooms are spacious. There's a indoor parking garage for guests just under the hotel which comes really handy. Walking down to the old town takes about 10 mins, but remember that you have to take a steep walk up again.
The hotel has no restaurant and I wouldn't recommend the €12 breakfast. Other than the home made juices/smoothies, the selection is quite sad. Light sleepers might suffer from thin walls and doors.
Hotel muito confortável e acolhedor, com vista excelente sobre o anfiteatro do Funchal, com um serviço de receção e pequeno almoço personalizado, ambos sem qualquer reparo. Apesar de não se encontrar no centro, está a curta distância deste (15 min a pé). Muito recomendado.
A unique hotel in the oldest part of Funchal. Not immediately recognizable from the outside and perhaps not immediately to find, this beautiful historic building with a mix of modernity and the architecture of a traditional manor house offers an idyllic starting point overlooking the port of Funchal. Spacious rooms, mostly with kitchenette and top coffee machine with lots of light and excellent beds. The old town of Funchal can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. If you do not want to book the breakfast from the house, you can still sit down at one of the tables and enjoy your own breakfast with the utensils from the kitchenette. The hotel also has a very well-kept garden and underground parking. For four years we have been visiting this hotel regularly with our groups. All guests were always very happy here.
Very nice facility, good access to the parking, central but quiet and a great value for money. Any time.
