Stayed there twice, very special Hotel with amazing gardens & views. Breakfast is a banquet of hot & cold food. Best range of fresh fruit, breads, cereals & cooked food, served in a Lovely garden room, with stunning views, down to the sea.
A Gem. Brilliant. Only troublw was the old carpet otherwise perfect 4 stars with a view and very helpful staff. Thoroughly recommended.
A lovely place to stay, great views over Funchal easy access via the cable car to Funchal but they do have a shuttle bus which goes there and back every day. Gardens are beautiful as are the tropical gardens across the road.
My only gripe were the breakfasts cooked breakfasts were cold and unappealing, if you were wanting a continental break fast they are just ok with not much choice, they just don't do variety well.
Having said that the evening meals were ok I enjoyed them. But there is a decent restaurant around the corner at Babosas if you want a change.
Quiet place with wonderful views for those who love quality service and good dishes
