Beautiful grounds and rooms. Breakfast was perfect for a quiet start to the day. You're in the middle of the city but feel like you're in a remote destination. The staff was amazing from start to finish. Can't wait to stay again.

Its amaaaaaazingly cool quiet and beautiful
Amazing service, staff are so attentive, by the end of the week they had remembered what we ordered for breakfast. We had our one year old with us, there were a few other children there of similar age. They had high chairs, but bought new ones especially so all the children had one. The pool was lovely and quiet, very relaxing. The gardens were beautiful, and great for early morning wanders. We walked into Funchal most days. Got the yellow bus tickets for €25 each for 5 days, there’s a stop close to the hotel. We had a meal in the restaurant, snack bar and had afternoon tea. All were fantastic and really well presented. Would go back in a heartbeat
