A very classic hotel that has an amazing view of the city, amongst locals .However it does need new money to renovate its underlying beauty. Staff are super friendly
Oldfashioned hotel, located in center, with really nice view on Funchal and ocean. IT was probably really fancy in 70-80th, now you can still feel it, but needs reconstruction desperately. Services was ok, only breakfasts are average, no vegetable, always the same food. Staff was nice, very helpful. Guests mostly elderly people, so hotel is quiet and peaceful. Prices are reasonable.
The good things are... beautiful views. The staff is very nice especially Natalia who changed our room to a cleaner one very quickly when I’ve shower how dusty and cobwebs in our initial room. The quality of towels are terrible. This hotel is in much needed repair and remodel. It’s just old and less than expected.
The breakfast is poor. You get rationed with a small basket of white bread, croissants that are not fresh. You get a piece of fruit, orange or an apple per day. The coffee is horribly weak, juices are not fresh juice. This property is old and very tired and the staff seem to try and do their best with service but owners are in complete denial of the sub-standard of their property. Will never stay there again!
Quaint hotel out of the hub of the city. So relaxing and chilled.
Great atmosphere, bit worn down of course but that's the charm. Nice staff and service.
