We loved Baia Azul hotel! Clean, beautiful hotel with lovely views from both mountains and ocean view rooms. They have a free bus which takes you to the town. They also have yoga, gym, sauna and more free activities (But sauna was closed due to covid). Staff members are super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. And more importantly, they have adapted strict and responsible measures to prevent the spread of covid19, which made us feel safe being there. Highly recommend it!
Disappointing. You can hear every sound from the hallway and a room upstairs, so I cannot imagine, how loud it is when hotel is full, not like in Corona times. Every day same menu for breakfast. You are charged extra for everything, even for bathrobes. Indoor pool was supposed to be heated, but water was cold. Funchal is full of high comfort, great hotels. I would definitely not recommend this one. Two stars for friendly staff.
Wonderful view from almost every room. Service mostly friendly. Big annoyance was the loud music each day until 11 o'clock. Not possible to go to sleep before that.
Nice hotel with a great seaview from the balcony. Breakfast is good. Except the coffee Wich is awfully bad
I don't like the musical artist.. after some days of listening to the sax I have heard enough for a year . And when you play the violin, stop using it as a guitar (unless you can keep it synchronized to the music)
