The Vila Lusitânia has just undergone a major renovation. However, I am not sure whether the guesthouse on the hillside of the capital Funchal would have needed that at all. Everything is immaculately clean and well maintained. The terrace always looked like it was freshly polished and although there were plants everywhere, not a bit of greenery floated in the pool. Our room was perfectly big enough for two people and had a balcony with a sea view. All of this (if required, breakfast for 6.00 EUR) and an incredibly friendly service are available for an incomparably low price.
Very clean and tidy rooms with good hot shower and plenty of space.. Fresh bedding and towels each day. Staff are very friendly, polite and more than helpful. The price we paid was very good value for money. Would highly recommend and if visiting again would not think twice about rebooking. Thank you x
Clean tidy decent size room.
Bed and breakfast which is delivered on a tray as standard unless you tell them otherwise. Fully covered and really good.
Pool is quite small and you struggle to sunbath their so suggest you go to the lido.
People very friendly and welcoming will return next year
Excellent price-quality ratio. The hotel rooms and bathrooms were very beautiful. The pool and common areas were clean and had a beautiful room.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Overall, would recommend if you are traveling on a budget.
