Ibis is INSIDE the Dusseldorf Main Station (Hbf), near the exit. So no doubt it’s superrrr close to the train platforms and what not. I didn’t hear any noises from train or people, so it was nice considering its location. The a little annoying thing about this hotel is that, you need to ring the bell first for them to open the door for you to enter lobby. I don’t know that this is a special thing due to Corona or it always happen. The room was small as expected, no fridge, the checkout time is sort of late which is good (noon).
Although for train travelers the hotel is on a great location, I can not recommend it.
Dirty towel in the bathroom, not even plastic cups available so you can drink some water from the tap. No 'Do not disturb' sign available. An airco that makes so much notice it sounds like it runs on diesel and a TV that keeps resetting all settings to German everytime you switch it off. No fridge where you can keep stuff cool and a bar where the staff member seems mostly interested in his mobile phone.
On top of that, I entered an empty elevator and after a few seconds got company of three other people. So we had 4 people in the elevator while a sign said specifically that only one person is allowed in the elevator. And this happened in front of the desk with a clerk observing it. Absurd.

Very friendly staff! The location is just perfect for people who loves to travel by train. All commodities just on your hands because the hotel is linked to the station and to a small gallery where you can find almost everything: pharmacy, coffee shops, library, Macdo, bank machine and more.
