One of the smoothest and most efficient communication I’ve had with lodging staff. And it was all done through WhatsApp!
Great value for the money. Very quiet, great location, fully equipped kitchen, and a big and sunny roof terrace.
This is a cute little hostal with private and shared bedrooms, I stayed for two nights in a private en-suite room which was simple but worked for me. The building is nice, has two cute patios and a very spacious kitchen which is fully equipped. The heating system is controlled by the staff and comes on at a specific time.
The hostal is located right in the old centre of the town, just a couple of minutes walk away from the Mezquita-Cathedral. Shops, Hammam and sights are just around the corner, which made my visit very easy.
The only downside was that no staff was present at the hostal, you could only reach them via WhatsApp during the day until around 6 PM. I once locked myself out as I left the card that opens the front door in my room. Nobody picked up the phone and I thought that I had to sleep outside. I eventually managed to get in, but it did not feel good to not find support from the staff.
All in all I had a good stay and would come again.
Nice place, nice guests, nice team. Ideal for either a short or a long stay in Cordoba.
Lovely place! Feels pretty authentic and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Martin recommended me 3 or 4 places for tapas and it didn’t disappoint. This place has a very nice kitchen too so you can make your own meal and a rooftop terrace to relax at. You can also do laundry on the rooftop.
To be blunt this place is a dump. The whole place is rundown and in need of repairs. Cleanliness throughout the hostel, our room and bathroom was really just not good enough. There was no hot water during our stay and the shower head kept falling off the wall during our showers. The beds were very worn and old and the walls were paper thin. Cleanliness in the kitchen was also poor and the kitchen was not adequately stocked (we had to wait until another couple had finished eating breakfast so we could clean and use their breakfast bowls as there was insufficient bowls for everyone). Chairs in the kitchen were also falling apart with nails and screws sticking out the back (RIP favourite pair of shorts) . MOST IMPORTANTLY security was lacking, the main door to the hostel was never locked and the reception was often left unattended. We were staying in a room directly off the main courtyard and the door to our room was always left open as there was no air flow so anyone could walk in/out of our room. We brought up these issues with staff both during and after our stay but were ignored. If you are thinking of booking this hostel in Cordoba, stay elsewhere.
