Biała Owca offers great lodgings for a fair price. The rooms, food, and service are all on a really nice level. On top of that, the hotel is placed in a great location - very close to the mountains (5 minutes walk to the Strążyska Valley's entrance) but still relatively close to Zakopane's center.
The rooms are well-designed, merging a modern, minimalistic style with some traditional elements. The hotel's crew is helpful and nice, the food (the hotel serves breakfasts) is tasty and fresh while not trying to be super original. Everything seemed very clean and new.
Two minor negatives:
1. The walls are quite thin. If your direct neighbors are loud (they like to sing, laugh and talk loudly) - you're going to hear 95% of their noise. It's very situational, though. Maybe you won't be as unlucky as we were in that regard.
2. The ventilation in the building could be better. During the breakfast hours - the smell of food was lingering in our room until the middle of the day.
Besides that, it was a really nice, 4,5/5 experience and I recommend staying at Biała Owca.
Great location with spectacular mountains view! A cozy, nice hotel with friendly stuff. Tasteful breakfast. We enjoyed our stay!
I put four stars because of the tiny room size. It was said that it’s 25 square meters but it’s not. After putting in the children’s bed for our six months old daughter there was no space left.
Very beautiful small hotel, I would rather say guest house, as you feel at home)). Rooms are not very big, but with great view on mountains. Hotel is located near the forest, so there is fresh air and excellent nature. Hotel has parking and proposes breakfast to the guests.
Almost everything was excellent about this place with the exception of the refrigerator did not get cold and it is advertised as having air conditioning. The refrigerator wasn’t a huge problem it just didn’t get our bottled water as cold as I like it. The air conditioning is only on the first floor in the lobby and eating area; and was also not a huge problem because the climate is cool at night. The view from our balcony is to dream for and the breakfast was delicious. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Definitely will stay again!
Great location next to the entrance of Tatry National Park. Very nice staff. Great parking area, nice breakfast and very modern rooms. Pity we did not get one with a balcony. Bus 12 at the entrance leaves you in Zakopane Bus Station and back.
