My goodness. I have to give a huge mahalo to Terence for making our last night on Maui a spectacular experience. A fantastic upgrade to an incredible room was just the beginning; we came back from the serenity pool to find a bottle of champagne on ice with a lovely handwritten note from him. Bell hop was so helpful and gave tips for our stay after delivering our bags in a timely fashion. Pool service had ended prior to our arrival, but Haley hung out and chatted with us for a few minutes while she tidied-up. This is truly a Ritz-Carlton level service experience with the Marriott name attached. We will make it a priority to return here on future trips. Once again, Terence gets the MVP award for exceptional service.
Update: Haley and Ashley’s service at the adults pool the following day was exceptional. Room service breakfast was also very good and arrived right on time. We stayed as long as we could after checking out and utilized the dining and beverage options simply because the level of excellence exemplified by each employee we interacted with made us not want to leave. If I could improve one thing, it’d be the rooms; they’re showing their age on the walls and interior layout. Beds weren’t as comfortable as we’re accustomed to at hotels, but I slept okay. Neighboring rooms’ occupants could also be heard intermittently, but this didn’t affect us much.
I cannot express in words how much we enjoyed our stay. The ambiance, location, staff, food, pools, kids pool slide, Movie theater, ocean view room, the big giant ALOHA sign, the greenery, plantation, the swing off of a big tree, everything was like a perfect dream! It is located in an absolute perfect spot in Maui. I must mention Jessica, she was absolutely accommodating and wonderful. Thank you Jessica, for treating our family as your own. We will definitely return to this resort when we are back in Maui! Mahalo
Pros: They have a “lounge” where you can shower & change in the evening the day you checked out before your flight.
The room was aesthetically nice -but not super kid friendly with breakable decor.
Cons: The pools are cold, no hot tubs, & they turn the slide off at 5. No outside food/drinks at the pool. We hyped my 4 year old up about the slide and then they wouldn’t let him go on it because he wasn’t tall enough & they wouldn’t let him go with an adult. Also no floaties in the pool, why? The restaurants are very expensive & not kid friendly. (No pizza ha) They make you wear a mask outside. Half the elevators didn’t work. You pay $30-$40 a day to park your car. The credit you get through Costco only works for 2/3 of the on-site restaurants, not parking or the on site convenient store.
We enjoyed our trip very much. But I will choose a different place next time.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and loved it. We had an ocean front room which was great for sunsets. The room was clean and spacious. The adult infinity pool was super relaxing. The beach to the South of the resort was just a 3-5 minute walk from our room and the resort let's you reserve chairs and an umbrella.. The chairs at the adult pool and the beach book fast so I recommend booking them 3 days in advance.
Overall the resort was great. The staff was very friendly and did a great job observing covid protocols.
The most amazing place. Terence and Cruz went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The infinity pool books up ahead of time, but after 11AM you can get chairs (from reservations that didn't show up).
I recommend getting a sundeck room. Hale 7 seems to be closest to all the action and has the best views.
