Friendly helpful staff who can speak English, made my stay at Pullman very enjoyable. The modern, clean, well equipped rooms provided everything I needed. This area is very quiet so I could sleep well without interruption after a nice workout in their 24 hour. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vung Tau.
This hotel has terrible design and location for the pool. The way it is right now, you will have strong wind going through the pool area all the time which makes it freezing cold and especially bad for kids. You may think that you will never use the pool when you are at the sea, but vungtau can be really polluted sometimes and being able to enjoy a nice swim at the hotel is expected for the amount of money you pay.
The morning buffet is just so so. The only thing that I loved was the coffee.
That said, the room was nice and comfy. The service was okie. And the location is good (just a few steps to the nearby supermarket, and there are many good eateries around).
I should give it 3.5 rating instead of 3 but google doesn't have that, and it does not deserve 4 in my opinion.
Can’t believe it’s service of a 5-star hotel!
- Reception: the check-in process took too long. Welcome drink was in the restaurant, it was quite illogical when guests were queuing a long line and staff invited us to leave and walk to the restaurant just for a small drink(???)
- View: I booked a Deluxe room King bed with Sea View (with extra paid for the Sea view), but quite disappointed by the actual view which was way different to the photo on website. The window view is blocked by other building and the sea is such farther than the picture
- We ordered one set of high tea for one person. It was nice but took almost 30 mins for those little pieces of cake and tea
- I left the cleaning service light sign before dinner but when we came back in the evening there was nothing change.
- Dinner: staff seemed unprofessional with very slow manners. We ordered a set of Indian food and one pizza. While the Indian dishes were quite quick and good, the pizza made us waiting for 30min until we asked, and the staff said PIZZA IS NO LONGER SERVED (the pizza was in an old menu they gave us and they just took the order as nothing happened). Then she was really “innocent” to respond me: “I forgot to inform until you asked”. We calmly ordered another dish which took another 20-30 mins. Meanwhile, the air became hot because AC was off when we were the only table stayed (it was just around 8.30pm and you should know why we had to stay for that long).
- There are still many little points showing that the hotel provided kind of uncareful service that I don’t want to mention
- Although the staff’s attitude can be tolerated because they did apologize many times but it is definitely not a service of such a 5-star hotel. And for sure we not gonna be back here the second time!
Our family with young kids stayed 3 nights in Pullman. Rooms are cozy, big enough, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great with wide selection of food (western, vietnamese, indian,vegetarian option, waffles, pancakes...). Helpful and attentive staff. However I can't recommended this hotel for family holiday as there's not an indoor playroom (they moved it outside), they don't have rooms with connecting door and beach club is just dirty part of beach with old furniture and without equipment.
Personally, Pullman is not really reasonable price, but its okay for traffic convenience. The view not really bad. We payed for a room with sea view but the reality is just a half.
