Stayed at the Anantara for a full week so feel like I've tried out all the ammenities. Had an excellent stay overall! The view, the pool, the hotel cleanliness and the quality of the breakfast was superb. I think what makes this hotel better than most in the Algarve region is the quality of the staff. They were very friendly, attentive and did their best to cater to your needs. From the breakfast staff, pool staff, the cleaners and front desk management, all were exemplanary.
Tips for Guests: book the sea/golf view instead of the standard garden view. Also if you want to use the gym, book the hour slots ahead of your visit. Make sure to try a cocktail at the lobby bar.
Very simple hotel. Rooms are nice and large but not exceptional. Breakfast is very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bar is very basic but garden is quiet and very good for resting and/or sunbathing. Regular shuttle bus to beach and marina makes it easy to get to the heart ov Vilamoura. Overall a nice if basic hotel
Love it, stayed for a late week in October/November. Nice apartment, cleaners came in everyday. Limited pools as classed out if season. Very friendly staff plenty of parking.
Stayed here in October. Absolutely loved the apartment which really has all the comfort you need. Living room is spacious and offers enough room to comfortably sit 6 people or more. The TV has a wide selection of international channels including French, English, German and Dutch channels. The kitchen has all the appliances you might need to prepare meals for a larger group, including a large kitchen and freezer.
The only negative was the bed which was really uncomfortably hard.
When you reserve an apartment it comes with 2 parking spots in the underground parking lot.
The resort has a large outdoor pool (not heated and relatively cold in October). There's a smaller indoor heated pool. Due to COVID, we had the whole place to ourselves, I'm not sure how crowded the pool is in normal times.
Guests can also use the pool in the hotel next door.
The staff were so helpful and very pleasant, felt very safe with their covid measures. Apartment was very clean good size and a private balcony and courtesy bus was a real bonus, could maybe do with more plug points and ice compartment in the fridge. Had a fantastic holiday
I enjoyed a whole week in August 19 at the guest house Victoria, staying in the women 7-beds-dormitory. Of course it's not always super quiet but it allows you to meet a lot of nice people. Jose watch over his guest somehow like a father and makes sure that the rules are respected (e.g. no shower between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.) and stay quiet.
The hostel is overall clean and offers enough commodity for a comfortable stay.
I recommend this hostel and will surely come soon again

Nice, well kept hotel located a stones throw away from Vilamoura Maria and the surrounding restaurants. Rooms are slightly outdated but the breakfast and snacks on offer are superb! Would recommend staying if you can get a good deal...

Breakfast very weak, staff friendly and always trying to help..warm food always the same every morning.
Fried eggs should be fried ala minute and not 20 minutes before..

Fresh Juices, only O.J all the rest is bottled.
Toaster takes twice to pass your toast through for it to be toasted.
Very easy to get to the beach.
As usual swimming pool full of towels on beds already at 7.30 am so take care.
Good and large parking in the hotel for free, thats very nice..
In all fairness we visited during November and if quiet is what you are looking for then look no further. Not a lot to do unless you are in to Golf. The Hotel is in the heart of Golf Country in Vilamoura and fabulous courses they are. 45 minute walk will bring you to Vilamoura Marina but there is a courtesy bus supplied by the hotel. Apartments were cleaned every day. All in all a relaxing and chilled time waited on by always happy staff for which nothing was too much trouble.
