A place worth visiting
We stayed in the Rosa Suite in Piazza Erbe. Dennis was there helping us to check in and check out and answer all our questions. The suite was really spacious, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything one might need for a comfortable stay. The suite is full of surprises in terms of art and decor. The balcony overlooks the Piazza Erbe which is literally the heart of the city. The location and the history of the building make the staying experience much more fun. You cannot be in a better location when in Verona! If we could give it 10 stars, we for sure would!

What a happy surprise! We traveled to Verona from Paris with the idea the city would serve as a practical home base for taking day trips by train (or bus) to Bolzano, the Dolomites, Padua, Venice, Lake Garda and Mantua. But Verona, we discovered, was an amazing destination unto itself! And we realized immediately that we loved our "palazzo" apartment so much we extended our stay from 3 nights to 8. Located on the 3rd level of a 500 year old building, it had a large living/dining room with very high ceilings, an impressive crystal chandelier, parquet floors and an almost walk-in fireplace with a marble surround. The bedroom was huge too, with murals on the ceiling and stained glass French doors to a very large terrace overlooking the Piazza delle Erbe, the heartbeat of the "centro storico". As an added bonus, there was possibly the best Christmas market we have ever seen going on in the piazza below. The bathroom was spacious and modern, the kitchen was quite functional (of course we didn't cook, after all it's Italy). And Dennis, our host, was friendly and very accommodating and was easy to get in touch with through WhatsApp! All in all, what an outstanding value for the money. Don't expect the Ritz Carlton at this price point, but if you are so inclined, embrace the elegant decay and truly live la doce vita. A wonderful place to stay in a romantic and charming city. So far so excellent. Just checked in today. The apartment is lovely and in a great location. Air conditioning works well, well equipped... I could live here.
