I could not wait to post a review on Trip Advisor - I was ready the moment I walked in the door to check in. We made our reservation well in advance and had a lot of coordinating questions beforehand. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous but the staff makes this place an unbelievable experience. Attentive, responsive, very cordial and welcoming. Always on top of things and ready to help make your experience fantastic.

Perfect guided tours with Luca and Giovanni
I got my room confirmation and was in communication with Olga at the hotel 2 weeks before my trip. All of a sudden I got an email from them 4 days before my reservation that the hotel is closed and they are moving me to another hotel without mentioning what type of room I will be staying with my partner. Emailing them for more detail was met with a response saying "We will get you an upgrade" without specifying what room again. Third email answer was they will get me the Junior Suite which upon checking booking.com result in the same price I've paid for my Deluxe room, so other than the fancy room name "upgrade" I am getting the same type of room. Now I have to scramble to find another hotel to salvage this trip I was looking forward to visiting.
We chose Hotel Ai Cavalieri after researching other top hotels in Venice. My husband and I generally like luxury boutique hotels over larger hotels, and were so pleased with our stay. We arrived in the middle of the major flood but still received highly professional service. Our suite was gorgeous, large and immaculate. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast and cocktails in the bar. This was my second trip to Venice and hope to return to this hotel next year.

You can take a water taxi directly to/from hotel quite a way to travel in Venice.
Great location in a not so busy area to walk and still an easy walk to main sights.
Nice breakfast and rooms are very comfortable and decorated venetian style.
