We stayed for 4 nights in August. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the side street onto the canal. The room was a beautiful size with a large marble bathroom and nice sized dressing area and 'lounge'.
Breakfast and dinner were served on the terrace overlooking the canal. We thoroughly enjoyed both. There was no issues with my dietary requirements and allergies.
The staff were all wonderful. Our breakfast greeting immediately put a smile on our faces!
Reception was incredibly helpful with an queries. Thank you to all the staff!
I would definitely stay again.

If you want romantic seventeenth century charm with mod cons (lots of piping hot water) then come. It is expensive but we had a perfectly lovely small we site overlooking the fish market and it was just perfect. Service was charming but not effusive. Breakfast was included and typical european buffet or you could order hot. We didn't. Dinner was ok but the non o'clock sitting had many things missing from the menu. Still, you are sitting on the canal and that's just beautiful as the sun goes down.
Absolutely beautiful hotel lots of history, great staff, very helpful, amazing service. Definitely will be going back.
