This is absolutely the only place you should stay in Venice. From the location, the gorgeous rooms, the owners and atmosphere, everything was perfect. Right next to the Rialto bridge in a beautifully renovated palazzo, complete with a balcony to have the best scrambled eggs you will ever taste or a drink, overlooking a sprawling view of the Grand canal. The 9 rooms are absolutely spotless, comfortable, spacious and decorated beautifully, no detail is forgotten.
Best of all is the owners and the staff of the hotel. The whole team made this one of, if not the best hotel stay of my life. From the second you walk in the hotel, with a warm friendly greeting and a tour, to amazing recommendations for visits and small, delicious restaurants. You can see the owners are very passionate and proud of their hotel and they have reason to! They truly anticipated our every need, knew our breakfast order by the second day, and did everything they could to make our stay unforgettable. We will absolutely be back!
Having recently stayed in hotels by Four Seasons and Movenpick, I can safely say that the good folks at Al Ponte Antico run a world class establishment. Furnishings: A+, Courteous Service: A++, Location: A+++, etc. There is a bountiful spread for breakfast and 24/7 access to the bar (what a view from the terrace!). The price is aligned with the accommodations and level of service. Nice job!
Matteo and Barbara are such lovely hosts. The hotel itself is fantastic with very tastefully done interiors, attention to the tiniest details and a superb view. Our room had a very cute patio extending onto the grand canal right by Rialto bridge and it was such a great experience to be able to walk out there and sit outside whenever we wanted. The breakfast was yummy served on a gorgeous terrace.. overall we really felt like we got a flavor of loving Venetian luxury right in the heart of Venice. Thanks Matteo for making us have such a wonderful stay !

I have been to Venice before and spotted this hotel's amazing terrace, looking over the grand canal and the Rialto bridge. I made a note to look up this hotel next time I was in Venice. Well I cannot even say in words how amazing this hotel is but I'll try! The fact that is an actual Palace, restored to original fixtures and fittings. The beautiful bar, the homemade cakes and omelette bar at breakfast, the terrace for aperitifs, the beautiful room.. and above all.. the fantastic owners and staff. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels but this hotel is by far the most superior. The owners, being locals, are super passionate about Venice and ensuring you have a great time. Every single member of staff were amazing. They could not do enough and were so polite and professional at all times.
And the location could not be surpassed. You are in the thick of the bustling heart yet when you turn into the hotel, it is like a peaceful oasis!
If you want to see Venice, the most beautiful city in the world, from the most beautiful view, then stay here and only here.
Excellent location at the shore of Canale Grande with a unique view on the Rialto bridge.
Nice small family hotel, great and friendly service. The interior of the hotel is a beautiful Venice style.
The brothers Bruno and Matteo did a great job already before we arrived. They provided so many very useful and essential information helping us to prepare our trip.
We had a warm welcome and also during our stay we felt very well supported. Matteo is a super host!
