Friendly family run hotel. We were made to feel very welcome. Very clean rooms. Comfortable reception area. Liked coffee and cakes.
I stayed twice in this place. Besides being met with extra charges at my check out, I did not experience a friendly stay. I can not recommend this hotel. There are far better places in Valencia.
My wife and I stayed 4 nights here in October 2018. We had an absolutely brilliant time in Valencia and a large part of that satisfaction is due to the accommodation we chose. We cannot praise the friendly, courteous and warm welcome we had highly enough. This standard of service continued throughout our stay. The owners were so helpful and knowledgeable and were keen to make sure our visit was as enjoyable as it could be. Our room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and was thoroughly cleaned every day. The bed was super comfortable.
Perfectly located in the heart of the historical old town and only a 5 minute walk from the cathedral, this hotel is a hidden gem which is well worth seeking out. Why stay in a faceless multinational monolith, when Hostal Antigua will give you a taste of true Spanish hospitality?
And then there is the bakery 100 metres away, owned and run by the same family. Try to walk past it and not be tempted in by the fantastic array of goodies on sale - we couldn't!
Lovely family run business, friendly and helpful. Good location. Rooms well looked after. Would stay again. And highly recommend.
