I stayed in the guesthouse for about 3 months. Amazing place. Leon and Katie are super hosts. There is plenty of space in the house to feel comfy with everything you do. Three place was always clean and everything was in the right place. The location is very central, almost same time to either the beach and the city center. Also the nice thing starting in the guest house that you get to meet very cool people and make some friends specially if you are planning to stay for a while. I will happily visit again in the future.
More than a Place to stay and more like a home! I stayed with Leon and Katie for over 3 months working remotely and winter training for a triathlon event. Very beautiful house and amazing outdoor space. I lived working in the garden , the WiFi works well and the co-working environment is exactly what I wanted. During that time I experienced very thoughtful touches all over. Leon’s experience as a gourmet chef was one of few highlights. They were very helpful with tips and I really think of them as my family in Valencia. Looking forward to staying with them again in the next winters.
I can not begin to express the love i have for this place. I was here for 3 months initially in 2020, and I couldn't wait to get back. The place itself, is immaculate in itself but the cherry on top are the hosts Leon & Katie. The location is equidistant from the city and the beach and means nowhere is too much of a stretch on foot. I can count in single digits the amount of times I have used a taxi in what is nearly 5 months.
The balance between a co-working & a holiday destination is perfectly struck, there is so much space to work and concentrate but when the time is right to socialise there has always been an amazing atmosphere. I have made friends for life from France, Germany, Egypt, Ukraine... even Manchester. I am currently in the middle of my second long term stay and I wish it could be longer. Home from home.
We had a really nice stay at this guesthouse in Valencia! From the moment you step foot in the house, you will fell in love with it and wish you'll never leave this place! The rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and vintage pieces of furniture, it's like a fairytale. The common area is quite big, inviting you to socialize, tell stories and get to know other people at a glass of wine. If you love outdoor spaces, you will enjoy their big terrace, where you can sit and relax, while reading a book in the hammock. The owners of the place are really outgoing and fun, making your stay as comfortable as possible. The place was spot clean, so this is another plus. Highly recommend!
Katie and Leon were the most wonderful hosts! I found Portrait through google and the booking process on their website was seamless. I’d seen photos but I couldn’t believe how stunning the guesthouse was in reality. The facilities were perfect, powerful shower, luxurious bed, and the perfect place to work during the day and relax in the evenings. I doubt there’s anything else like it in the whole of Valencia. Ideal location close to the centre, the beach, and the Turia park, and just minutes walk from shops and the nearest metro. Leon and Katie are the loveliest, most down to earth couple, and I’ve certainly made some new friends! I’ll definitely be back soon...
