I thought the place was okay, and my partner didn't like it at all so it ended up at 3*.
When researching where to stay this seemed like level above, but it wasn't so that's part of our disappointment that the description oversold us.
Restaurant: 5* surprisingly good food so that was better than expected. Too much noise from the kitchen but, I understand staff gets bored although it doesn't create a calm atmosphere.. You have a great view of the rice fields from part of the restaurant.
Room: 4* there was a strong smell of bug spray but I understand it's necessary given the location. The floors are solid stone which I'm not a fan of but got used to.
Our room was next to the yoga studio so if the drapes aren't closed classes will stare directly into the room we had there was also construction on the other side of the hedges.
Bathroom was interesting and I kind of liked it on the end.
Spa: 3* my partner had a treatment but wasn't thrilled. We also received vouchers for free treatments but wasn't able to use them due to limited capacity???
Pool: 2* looks great in photos but there is very limited space with 6-8 deck chairs, insane. When I wanted to relax there was no space - what's the point?
Staff: 3* I struggled explaining certain things so there's room to improve language skills
Overall: 3*After arriving I realized my partner didn't like the place so we tried to see if we could work out a deal to go somewhere else, but fair enough it wasn't possible. It results in a less than stellar review though.
A beautiful resort, with lushy garden and a huge yoga shala (very suitable for retreats with many participants)
High quality service, wonderful place. So relaxing and amazing!
