We stayed here for 3 nights. The resort is great but it need an 'uplift'. The food is good but a bit expensive. The Spa is good , need to book in advance, they offer 50% .
In overall, we enjoyed our stay in Ubud Village Resort.
Extremely a green resort
We stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon and it was brilliant! The villa was so spacious and clean, we had so much space and our own little pool outside with an amazing area around to chill out! The staff are super helpful and polite, they’re really doing all they can to make you feel special. The restaurant was very clean and the food was delicious! We got breakfast everyday which was lovely and ate in the restaurant for 2 nights- they had many dishes to pick from.
While you get away from the busy Ubud in this resort, many popular attractions in Ubud such as the Monkey forest and many other local supermarkets, restaurants and cafes are walkable! I must say it is in a great location if you want to be out and about but also enjoy some quiet time away.
Very bad experience. On the day of arrival we were shifted to another hotel because of water issues in our villa. Neither us nor our booking agency was informed about this priorly. We had to suffer loss of booking money, same quality room was not provided . The villa that we booked was provided next day was not at all maintained . One of the curtains was not working ; it kept the window open to outside . Breach of privacy. The blinders of one of the wooden curtain was not not working. Another side of the bed remained to outside view- again breach of privacy. We kept asking for acknowledgment letter for 2 days about the booking issue ; till the checkout date they did not prepare the letter for us. Only the property is good because it’s very huge. No air conditioned dining area , few of the the ceiling fans are also not working in the restaurant area.In so much heat how will people eat? Specially lunch timings .
This is the sister hotel of the Ubud Village, falls on the same management, said one of the hotel's employers, which is located out side of the Ubud village in the south, not far, in the village of Nyuh Kuning as he directed us to go there when he knew we were not taking our tourists to the right hotel. Thank you, Sir.
We had to go around going out side of Ubud to Nyuh Kuning.
Seeing hotel entrance from the street, it looked as if this was a newly build hotel as it looked a new or could this was caused by the rain as it rained that day, then we arrive at the hotel lobby, then again this looked very nice, clean and looked new.
While my tourists were accepted and welcomed in the lobby by a young lady and given splashes of water on their heads and flowers I went to see a male receptionist who stood up watching our arrival in his hotel and asked him if this is a new hotel. "no" "we're here since 2006" he said. "it is the commitment of the owner of the hotel to make his hotels to look new all the time" he said. Wow, that's nice and that's why it looks fresh. It was not because of the rain.
The hotel is spacious, occupies a big piece of land with coconut plants and other beautiful green garden in betwern separates lobby building with others, the restaurants, the big pool, the rooms or villas. You're gonna like it to stay and relax in the peaceful green hotel like this. But it doesn't come cheap, though.
Iam sure my tourists pick up the right hotel for themselves to stay out in the country side on their own choice and will enjoy their stay in this nice, quite and peaceful place. Have a good time here guys.
