I cannot say enough about Hotel Bardo. It’s easily one of the best (not just boutique) hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. The attention to detail and decor was unmatched. Super relaxing and secluded. It’s about 15 min to the beach and super close to a cute shopping strip with several tasty restaurants. Leslie and Julian at the front desk were so accommodating and attentive. Leslie even brought me soup from a local restaurant when I wasn’t feeling well one evening. Joel made the best cocktails and knew us by name. And Fidel! The best waiter/restaurant manager ever! Recommended the best dishes, made sure every meal was pristine and checked on us while lounging at the pool to make sure we were comfortable and didn’t have to lift a finger. I would come back again and again and again.
One of the best stays! You essentially have your own private villa with pool, town is less than a mile away walking distance. Staff was so friendly. Massages and facials were inexpensive. The food was delicious.
Spent few days at Hotel Bardo during the month of December. Even though the weather was not the greatest and it rained quite a bit, still had a great experience; the location, room, service & amenities were excellent. We really enjoyed our time during the stay and are grateful to the entire staff. Also, the food and drinks at all the hotel's restaurants and bars were of good quality and decent price.
Special thanks to Sandra and Andrea for their awesome hosting at the pool side!!
This place is ✨ MAGICAL ✨ You won't want to leave! My husband and I stayed for one night.. the room was exceptionally clean, the decor is INCREDIBLE, the pool was wonderful. We had 3 meals there, so the food was delicious. They light candles at night and burn sage to filter the air. Everyone working there are so kind, friendly and professional. It was honestly the BEST HOTEL I have ever stayed in .. it's an experience and so worth the price.
The hotel itself it’s wonderful: boho decor and a great design concept that goes from minimalist architecture in the vilas to amazing curated common areas that anyone would define as food for Instagramers. Also the hotel is brand new (not even a year I believe and that’s great). But I must say that this is not the best thing the hotel has to offer: but the personnel and management working here that can be rated as a perfect 10 (I need to highlight one particular person: Carlos Sánchez who is the F&B manager and has been extremely kind and helpful). My last night I got food poisoning in Azulik and was pretty sick: couldn’t walk, super dizzy, very weak and dehydrated. My husband was the same and we couldn’t really take care well of each other as we were both feeling the same. But the staff from the hotel were 24/7 carefully monitoring us, sending us everything we needed to the room and even letting us stay one more night in here as I couldn’t really walk. I honestly have no words to describe the human values of the staff of the hotel but it’s been one of my best experiences travelling . I’ve felt 24/7 attended as if I was in my own home. I will definitely come back and will strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tulum. It’s a perfect 10.
