Very friendly staff. Clean, spacious rooms and good price.
The place is clean and staff is friendly (unfortunately do not speak foreign language so can get hard).
Despite those positive points, the experience was a bit disappointing and reviews do not really underline the main issues - please note we were there in September and might be different on high season)
* the hostel is missing the main added value of a hostel: tips about what to do and easy to find practical information, a person to answer your questions, hostel dynamic (place was super quite and few socializing place)
* we took the one private room and we were giving earplugs upon arrival - the hostel is next door to a bar - so very noisy.
When we try to reach the owner, it took time and he did not seem concern to help.
Great location in the center of Trapani connected to the harbour and to the sea
Very poor facility. For the price per night they offer we expected more. Swaying beds and no pillows, but since there was no one at the reception and after countless calls, the only solution was to sleep without. A positive aspect is that it is central to Trapani. I do not recommend it.
Finding bed bugs is never a pleasant thing. Fortunately for me, and they, there were not many even if the mark on the side I have been carrying it with me for a few days. Economic side: I state that I have booked on Hostelworld for two nights, therefore paying the deposit for two nights (€ 11.40): given the unpleasant first night with my travel companion we decided to leave, and here the sore point, at at the time of payment they were kind enough to offer us the second night without success (we had already found another accommodation) but of the first night they took the full amount (€ 36) and so almost 50 € came out of our pockets. Roberto and Nino were very kind in words, understanding the situation, but in fact they could have done more. Last note: if you have known for more than a month that you have this problem, perhaps you are not as attentive to hygiene as you say you are.
