Amazing! Location is great if you are looking for a hotel that is close to many attractions. Ambiance is unique from a typical hotel, but it is stunning. Customer service from the front desk was attentive to any questions or needs. The restaurant connected to the lobby, Constantine, served delicious food. Definitely coming back!
We just stayed at The Anndore House for Valentine's Day and it was NOT what we expected. For one, the customer service at the front desk was out right disrespectful over the phone, that man with the long black hair . For two, they did not follow COVID guidelines when making sure the room was not occupied less then 24 hours before checking in. For three, they did not have any water, q-tips, mouthwash, slippers, or records; these are all things they currently advertise for the rooms, especially the master suite we got. Also, the lights in our master suite, kept turning off every 30-50 minutes even when we were walking around the room. You can imagine when it gets dark early outside and the light randomly go out in a spooky looking hotel, in a grungy location, right next to the elevator that it was not pleasant. Therefore, we would never stay here again, especially for the price we paid over $250, customer service was the biggest turn off. The food was good though at Constantine.
The staff was INCREDIBLE! My partner and I spent a night here for our anniversary on Friday and from check-in to checkout we had the best experience at this hotel. The person who checked us in was extremely friendly and hospitable. She made us feel welcome right from the start. Later that evening we went to the restaurant for drinks. The server, bartender, and manager are simply THE BEST! They treated us so well and made sure we had the best time. Beyond the staff, the room was clean, lovely, and overall really great to stay in. Highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing evening!
Gorgeous room, very utilitarian retro. There is no doubt in my mind that I would stay here again.
The entire wall of our room was windows with tasteful dark wood shutters. Loved the exposed copper piping, concrete walking, textiles throughout, and more.
One of my favourite touches was the “you look great” on the bathroom stool. It should be corny, but somehow The Anndore House has managed to pull it off.
I downgraded the rating so thoroughly because of the staff here, and due to the lack of parking. I just didn’t feel as though the staff were that present. They seemed generally, “meh”, about everything. The hotel seemed abandoned, and haunted, despite being so nice! This leant a very ghost town vibe to the hotel, especially in conjunction with the decor.
I would recommend the Anndore House, and will return in the hope I have some more positive team interactions!
The Anndore House is a gem in the heart of Downtown Toronto! Walking distance to the all the best coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and tourist spots.
My wife and I recently stayed here for a small staycation during the pandemic. We both work from home and planned to work from the hotel as well as enjoy the close proximity to some of Toronto’s best restaurants and tourist attractions.
From the moment we entered the hotel we were made to feel safe and at ease regarding the hotel’s COVID-19 practises. There was contactless entry, the staff were regularly sanitising all surfaces and everyone was wearing masks at all times. The entire hotel was spotless! I must give a special shout out to Joey at the front desk who is one of the nicest guys I have met - he is a jolly, happy and will always make sure all your needs are tended to with speed.
The vibe of the hotel is super trendy; from the uniquely designed rooms to the cool gadgets and finishes around the hotel - staying here is a real treat. The Anndore House perfectly fuses modern technology and urban design to create a boutique like experience with a classic twist. The entire hotel screams character and perfectly caters to the modern traveller of today.
We actually planned on staying for just one week but ended up extending to a total of 3 weeks! Thank you to the entire Anndore House team for a great stay - we will be back soon. Would highly recommend!
