I stayed in January 2020. Staff were very helpful! I felt comfortable asking anything I needed
Last year I stayed at this hostel waking up at my stuffs being stolen from my luggage. Then i come to the manager told my story and he blamed me said that maybe I'm the one who drop it outside the hotel or forget to lock my luggage. Wth? Didn't even say sorry or whatever first.
Then i told my neighbors and they checked their belongings, they also lose some items. Total 3 of us as the victims of the criminal happened in there. Then after another victims speak out, they said sorry but refused to do a search but promised us to look at the cctv. The next day they held a party like there's nothing happen and didn't update me with anything until I asked the managers in front of their friends with full music blasting out.
They didn't do anything at all and they're not responsible for anything happened because they said "if you want to be safe, then don't stay in our hostel, stay in hotel".
FYI, there's no cctv except in the entrance so it's no wonder this thing happened right there.
* Beds are pretty basic and self built, air-conditioning does not really help -> can get very hot in the night
* Bathrooms are pretty decent with good equipment
* Lobby was a bit cold although comfy
* Currently there is a big construction site across the street, so it was a bit loud in the morning
* Staff was friendly and welcoming
* Breakfast is the same every day
I'd say after all a bit expensive for the value you get imho if you don't count the location (which may make up for that)
For the price it's a good deal. The staff is helpful and the lobby is comfortable. The location is good too.
Stayed for 3 nights during one of my trips. Not a spectacular hostel, but I’d stay again. Was a pretty good price. Good location for easy access to public transportation.
