We loved the position and the view from the room, priceless. Honestly the room was not so well maintained (the shower room wasn't properly clean and this is not fault of the owner but it is his responsibility to check on the cleaning staff)
and it wasn't impossible to get down the room's temperature. During the breakfast I felt uncomfortable as there were just a few slices of prosciutto and cheese. I have to ask how many guests were in the hotel in that moment so I would not eat the entire salty food available for breakfast, for the same reason I burnt the bread but I decided to eat it as well. The owner is a kind guy but we felt a lack of attention for the guests, at least when we were there. No information provided to get to the hotel, just when we called him after over 30 minutes struggling to get to the hotel he told us that the position on google maps wasn't correct. Then he sent us to a parking space where is not displayed anywhere how much you will pay and for just 19hours we paid 15€. A scam! When you book ask him a more precise location and find a free parking around, don't let that parking space just steal your money because you don't know where to park and he suggests that. overall was a nice experience at Porto del Tocco and the owner told us that is going to refurbish the rooms, so you'll find a sparkling clean and renovated hotel in a week or so ;)

Good location (close to the car park and centre of town)
Clean, staff were fantastic and very helpful. Rooms aren't big but the beds are. Some of the rooms have translucent doors to the bathroom but otherwise everything was great!
Hotel is very central. 30 seconds away from Porta Catania. Room impeccably clean. Towels changed daily. Breakfast very fresh. 1st day they prepared us a packed breakfast as breakfast starts at 8.30 but we had early excursion.
The only thing is that reception is closed between 8.30 in the evening and 8.30 in the morning. So make sure you keep the key with you at all times.
