This review is WAY overdue. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in September 2017. From first booking our trip working with Katharine definitely set the tone of how the rest of our trip went. She helped us pick the perfect suite, the Leonardo de Vinci suite which was so spacious and the most incredible views. She also helped us book a car service to and from the airport as well which was so helpful. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. The staff is so nice and helpful. For example, my husband got sick during our trip and the staff had a local doctor come to our room to diagnose him and they went into town to get his meds for us- talk about 5 star service!! The food is AMAZING! The pool was so relaxing and again the views of the entire property are breathtaking. I would highly recommend you book this property, you will not regret it. We can't wait to return. Thank you again Villa Angela for the most memorable honeymoon!!
Rooms are great with great view and balcony. Doesn't have big screen TV. No English TV options other than news. Pool is good but very limited swimming hours. Service is basic. Internet is complicated and poor. Views are great but away from town. If you want a good room with a great view of Etna is a good choice.
Lovely Hotel. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and very clean.
Located about a 20-25 min walk above the centre of town means that it's quieter than many of the more centrally located Hotels. There's a shuttle bus available, but we didn't bother with it as the walk was nice; mostly up/down a set of steps with nice views over the town.
Breakfast was very good, and the staff were extremely friendly, especially Katharine at reception!
We have just returned having recently spent a week at Villa Angela. The hotel is excellent and everything about it !!! There are not many places we say that we will return , however this is def one. All the staff are very welcoming and nothing is any trouble to sort out. Food is excellent and prices reasonable on all fronts. The view from the rooms is tremendous with Mount Etna in all its glory. The shuttle bus into /back from town is an added plus. The town is full of restaurants and bars and the people are very friendly. Def a place to look at...
The rooms are clean and spacious. The views looking over to Mount Etna are breathtaking. Breakfast and lunch splendid.
