Have stayed in many hotels in Taipei the last few months and this is one of the better ones. Convenient quiet location just across the street from Ximending. Rooms are small but clean and modern. What makes this hotel unique is the lobby in the basement that is laid out in like a lounge game room with free snacks.
Overall design and atmosphere is good. Nice experience for this price; with bathtubs,free snacks, gaming, kids room, good service. Corridor with nice perfume, but room with tiny bit smelly..
I don't recommend this hotel. The walls are too thin and there is literally no sound proof. You can hear every couple having sex next room. Stupid staff members have to put people right next to each room even other rooms are open. Don't expect quality at this hotel. The theme might sound appealing but it's horrible, old, and it stinks.
Location is the best part of this hotel. Centrally located, walking distance to one of the central MRT exits and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. But the rooms and the hotel itself was average. It was clean and maintained well but it felt more like a hostel/budget B&B than a hotel. The reception area is in the basement and they have no space to serve breakfast nor a restaurant in the hotel. It suits backpackers and solo travellers better than couples or families. The rooms were super cold despite turning the AC off. We had to request for a room heater through out our stay. The staff were very friendly and responsive though.
