True pub vibe with a mixed crowd all laughing and having a good time. Great variety of quality home brews available. Highly recommend if you're into beers and a good time.
My Backgammon club meets here every Tuesday night so I guess I'm a little biased. The staff are lovely, the pub/hotel is full of ambience and the bear is home brewed. Did I mention the grub? I've not tried the restaurant but the bar food is very good.
One of the best brewery pubs in Sydney. Head North on Kent Street (towards the Harbour bridge) and you can't miss it.
Has a good range of traditional ales, plus some seasonal ones too. Try the Old Admiral - but it's no session ale!

The Lord has been my local now for over 35 years. Excellent selection of craft beers, a comprehensive wine list and excellent food. There is a lot I could write about this iconic pub and its very friendly staff however one of the standouts is "international locals" and their many stories while sipping a pint around the fireplace in winter or at the end of the bar in the warmer months.
The internationals hail from all over the globe and when visiting down under make it point to visit the Lord knowing there will be a familiar face and a willing participant in some banter over a pint or three.
I love the dark ale and Old Admiral is my favourite. For a pale I'll have Three Sheets however having sampled all their beers you won't be disappointed with whatever you select.
Back in its day, this place would've been so interesting with it's locals and history. Now it's just full of suit wearing wannabes with their chardonnay's. Beside the tossers, the actual building is quite interesting. Micro brewery in back that can be viewed. Cool selection of tap beer due to their onsite brewing.
