All round great hotel. Perfect, convenient location. Stylish yet comfortable rooms and friendly staff. I was on the 1st floor and I did notice some noise from the street but A - it wasn't enough to disturb my personally and B - This is what you are likely to experience booking a hotel in such a central location. If you're sensitive to noise though I would enquire maybe about a higher floor or one on the Carlton St side to be away from the bars.
Absolutely divine. We upgraded to a Clare Suite which was beautifully decorated with a collision of reconditioned and contemporary fixtures and fittings. The service was impeccable, the staff couldn't do enough for us and the room was stunning. We will definitely be back.
Funky fit out, super high ceiling and everything you could want in the room. Pool area was fine when we stayed as it was a weekday and not busy but it's waist deep and really just a lap pool. Not an area to lounge around really and bar was open in the Sunday afternoon but busy with non hotel guests so hard to get a seat. Staff were not particularly welcoming or helpful and I don't get how this hotel is 5 stars on booking.com. with a 5 star hotel nine expects a certain level of service which is distinctly lacking. No offer to carry bags and I walk with a cane. No welcoming explanation of anything. A funky fit out is not enough to make this a place to return to and I've given it 4 stars as there is no 3.5 option.
I love this venue. Dingy old school pub downstairs, well renovated but kept charm conference facilities and a great hotel. Friendly team that really make you feel at home. Visit!
We had such a lovely relaxing stay! My husband and I very much enjoyed our one night's stay for an anniversary celebration. They kindly upgraded us to an Abercrombie room with a luxurious bath and super soft bed. The room was quiet and felt light and airy and stylishly furnished in a minimal, industrial chic style. My top tip: book direct through the hotel website for a 1pm check in, and 1pm check out.
