Reviews from visitors:
Fantastic place to stay. About a 1 minute walk from the base of the slopes where there is numerous lifts and the gondola. A bit pricy but overall worth the money. There is a heated pool and hot tub. A variety of restaurants within the hotel and a 5 minute walk of the hotel. And they even have a ski and snowboard storage near the base so you don't have to carry it to/from your room. I look forward to returning.

*DO NOT STAY HERE*
Just go to the Hilton nearby.
Save yourself the hassle, time and frustration.
$30 per night added for parking
No breakfast, and the breakfast from the restaurant is terrible.
Not allowed to use the hot tub.
Rooms are low value but highly expensive.
Added charges upon checkout that other reviewers have also mentioned.
Front desk staff is dismissive.
Restaurant (dinner) was insanely expensive for the amount of food served.
Our room was filthy(chunk of hair on shower wall, hair tie on floor and partly used tp roll. Our ac didn't work and our bathroom vent fan didn't work at all amd their was a yax for staying in steamboat that cost 2x as much as the room. The employees were super nice and we had a great view of the mountain but that was the only positives.
I debated on posting a review for a while now, but I felt it was only fair to do so for future couples.
Let me start by saying that the staff at the hotel is very kind. Everyone we came into contact with, and worked with for our wedding was kind. I never had an issue with any staff.
We had our ceremony at the Thunderhead Lawn. The staff didn’t do a very good job providing our guests with instructions on how to get from the hotel to the gondola. I’m unsure if it was just a break down in communication between our planner, and the event staff, but guests were unsure where to go.
My BIGGEST issue was the surprise bill I came home to. I tried to pay everything in full prior to leaving for our wedding. In fact, I was shown balance statements less than a month before the wedding. The balance they had on the statements did not reflect how much I had paid. I even voiced this to the staff member, and she said something along the lines that their system didn’t communicate with the accounting system so the total they sent me wasn’t correct?
For this simple reason alone I would tell couples to seek out other venues. The ceremony site was beautiful, and the staff was kind. But coming home after a beautiful wedding and enjoying settling into life as a married couple, only to find out you still have a $1,000+ balance remaining is absurd and stressful. Had I known the balance owed was that significant I most definitely would have paid it prior to traveling, so we knew how much money we truly had to spend on other things.
