We had a wonderful, though brief, stay at Mariposa. They graciously accommodated our last-minute booking and made our stay so comfortable and pleasant. Also, the breakfast was delicious! We're very much hoping to come back (and for more than one night!)
Really a wonderful setting and a wonderful B&B. Beth is a warm and welcoming host, who also cooks a tasty and nourishing breakfast that is above and beyond what you would typically expect. The Mariposa is warm, literally and figuratively, comfortable, impeccably kept and clean, and so well and interestingly decorated with many personal touches and pieces that speak to the history of the place.
It is very convenient to all the shopping and dining downtown Steamboat has to offer yet sits at the very edge of town on Soda Creek so feels more a part of the natural landscape. And it's only about a 10 minute drive to get to the ski area.
My one gripe is that we only booked one night. Next time, and I am sure there will be a next time, we will stay longer.
Stayed here with 6 other friends over New Years and rented out the whole lodge. Fantastic experience and loved the lodge so much! Beth is such a gracious and accommodating host. The breakfast included every morning was delicious and much needed on New Years Day after the night we had! I can't recommend this place highly enough, especially for the price and if i ever go to Steamboat with a large group again, we will 100% be staying here!
Some friends and I rented out the whole mariposa lodge for our weekend in steamboat this past week. What a great little location and setup they have got! Easy access to the town as well as to the resorts, all within less than 5-10 minutes.
Highly recommend staying here - its an adorable facility and really has everything you could need.
Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

This was a lovely little getaway for my husband and I! Tucked back in a quiet area but super close to downtown. The rooms are all beautiful and each have their own touch. The common areas are lovely and make you want to hang out there all day. We loved sitting in the sun room to watch the snow :) Even though the breakfast got delivered to us each morning with no contact, due to covid-19, they were delicious! We would definitely come back to Mariposa!
