A lifetime experience ....stay in a super deluxe house boat of Sheila Anne group (opp. Park hotel, Dal Lake). The intricate carvings and luxurious interiors of the houseboat with room heaters, electric blankets, good food served with love together with the courteous service of the caretaker, really made the final day of our Kashmir trip memorable.
This is one of the best place to visit in Kashmir. People came from different places,different cultures and spend time in Dal lake.
Different type experience and its like a dream place. All the house boats are decorated with wooden furniture.
If you visit kashmir don't miss houseboat ride
There are hell lot of houseboats. One can choose anyone, though I will suggest to visit before booking. From or to the houseboat travels can be made through small shikaras only. There are Rooms, Dining and Drawing room in each Houseboat. The facilities are limited being on water, but I must recommend this for being a whole different experience.
