Great accommodations and a friendly staff made for an amazing mid-week getaway. The location was absolutely amazing and is within 5 minutes walking distance of the Stateline and Casino's. The only downside was that the beds were a little on the firm side, which made for a restless night. Aside from that, I would highly recommend the Hotel Becket!
The hotel stay was meh. It really is a 3 star hotel and not much to look at. The parking was horrible, and access around the place was not convenient. The sink wouldn't drain (addressed and fixed) the shower was slow to drain (not fixed) the shower head was spewing water everywhere (not fixed) the lighting was very dim and the elevator inspection was WAY overdue. They even took down the sign after it was mentioned.
The ONLY thing that saved this place was the view, which even then, wasn't the best in Tahoe. This place is definitely just a drop in and leave place, not a "resort". And for the $100 resort fee, the breakfast was not worth it, and they should be using that fee to upgrade the place
We only stayed one night but it was a cute remodeled place. Bed was comfy, pillows were comfy. Everything worked. No bugs. South lake Tahoe is adorable and this cute place is in the center of town. It was 70/ night with a resort fee which totaled 105/ night. Price wasn't bad but I did take away 1 star because there were no amenities due to covid but they still charged the resort fee.
I would have put 5 stars if the coffee pot and microwave was already in the room. We asked and both was brought to our room no issue. Service was fantastic and room was clean. Most importantly no bed bugs. Really great pricing as well for being downtown area.
The hotel had a rustic theme and felt homie. The mattresses were soft and comfortable. I was very impressed they weren’t stiff as a board like usual. The pool was heated and they do serve a very light breakfast. The spa was not open which was disappointing but to be expected right now. The only complaints were in the morning when you have three people in the room wanting to shower the hot water ran out after the second person. I’m thinking maybe everyone in the building was taking a hot shower at the same time is why it did that. Also the fridge in the room sounded like a swarm of bees in the middle of the night. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. Worth the Money.
