Horrible experience trying to check-in to this property. I stay at dozens of Marriott Properties to the extent of achieving Elite Status and have never had such a difficult time with the front desk personnel. I understand when you are having a bad day, it is easy to take it out on customers, but please remember, we are the ones paying your paychecks, at the end of the day. Clark was very disrespectful, from beginning to end. We gladly drove another 30 miles in the middle of the night and took our business to another Property that actually appreciated our business.
Nate the Great and Kelsey were awesome on my recent stay. Clean, beautifully furnished rooms and a sweet staff. I'm a long-time returning guest and cherish my time at the Grand Residences every time. It's my home away from home. They never hesitate to help and make your stay a beautiful one. I can't wait to return again!!! The beach is a nice short walk. Shops and restaurants surround the area. Highly recommended.
Great place. But I recommend you only stay for the weekend. We had problems with the hot water and then we could not get hot water for the whole trip. It is tolerable for only a couple days.
The stay itself was nice, however money is all that matters to this Marriott location. I needed to leave a day early due to storm that was hitting the area Sunday evening. I wanted to make it home safely and leaving on Monday would have been dangerous. I checked out before 3pm on Sunday and was told by the check out person that I would receive a full refund for the unstayed night. He said I just needed to call and it would not be an issue. I spent 2 hours on the phone only to have the manager, Nate, tell me a refund was not possible because house keeping could not get to my room in time... so I guess their schedule is my fault and cost me $319. He said he had to make sure the owners got their money. Will never stay with Marriott again.
