Arriving late, tired and hungry, we were met by a manager who seemed displeased that a woman was handling the forms instead of the husband. We went to our room, and couldn't find any shampoo, and went to the office to ask since we had to get up very early the next day.
He told us to go out and go shopping in a tuk tuk at 10pm. This made me very uncomfortable in a dark unknown part of town.
We located an old market and found only a one time plastic shampoo packet.
Upon coming back to the room, we did locate the shampoo (not where I thought it would be, but we were very tired from a LONG travel day).
The manager seemed to be hostile and disrespectful to me as a woman.
The food service was hardly passible, and the fans in the dining area didn't seem to work. As it was extremely hot and uncomfortable, the staff was not helpful.
The room was less quality than a motel 6 and the bathroom reminded me of a nasty dark damp cave. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and not even motel 6 standards.
I would never recommend this place because of the hostile treatment of women. My husband, however the next 2 days was greeted warmly by the same manager.
We tried to find other lodgings - but given the short notice, and the reality that moving would steal the short amount of time we had to tour Angkor Wat, we reluctantly stayed.
If you are an independent woman - forget this place. They go out of their way to make things difficult.
Myself and my husband spend three nights here during our honey trip, and it was amazing, the room was clean and modern. The food was delicious and the service was Superb! all the staff was very professional and helpful. We loved Cambodia and you played a key role in our experience! thank you.
The facilities are correct but the staff are unprofessional
Very nice hotel, with kind personnel. The pool looks gorgeous between palm and mango trees. Breakfast is good and the cocktails are cheap and delicious. You wouldn't expect a hotel on a street like a where it.
It's unpretentious and staff are friendly but the beds are so hard!
