Hotel is nice and the staff were polite and really friendly a lot of the services had been reduced due to covid 19 so couldn't score any higher on this basis. The location is a little out of the centre which suited us as we enjoy the walks each day into the centre via the plaza and the surrounding park. Breakfast wasn't the best ive had but plenty of options for all tastes.
Very disappointing experience at this hotel. Rooms are clean but furniture is rather old (bed wasn’t very comfy either). Breakfast is extremely expensive (24€) for its quality, and there is virtually no table service. I tried to order food at night, called for more than 30 minutes (also via reception) but nobody was there. Last but not least, I forgot some personal belongings, called to recover them but they have suddenly disappeared. Would definitely not return at any Meliá hotel.
Modern structure. Efficient reception. Lifts are a bit of a bottleneck when large groups arrive/leave. Rooms are clean. Comfortable beds. Large luggage space. Many TV channels. Large breakfast area with many choices. Shower/bath/toilet room a bit cramped.
I had a terrible experience with this hotel last February 2020. I made a reservation for an international visitor coming to Sevilla, which for some reason they could not find by the time he arrived to the hotel so he was forced to pay again. Staff at reception were extremely rude until they finally found the reservation was made before (I was supposed to be a liar till that moment). Even if they finally agreed that it was all solved, a month later we realize that they have charged us wrongly. But the worse of all is the behaviour of staff, which was absolutely unprofessional. There are plenty of hotels in Sevilla that are way cheaper, better located and with extremely nicer people.
We stayed in Melia Sevilla during our honeymoon in March. We were very satisfied with the facilities and staff. The breakfast had a good spread and the rooms were comfortable and clean. It is also just next to the breathtaking Plaza Espana... Which is just the icing on the cake! Would highly recommend.
