New Vibrant Urban Hotel with awesome location right in front of subway station. Walk across the street from the hotel in the alley and you will find cool cafe and small shops. The hotel has great facilities great to hang out with friends from the foosball table on the first floor, gym + playroom full of cardboards and card games on the second floor, and beautiful rooftop view of Namsan Tower which is a perfect photo spot on the 16th floor. Staff is super friendly and kind. Love how the check in counter is multifunction to be a cool bar area with free welcome drink as well. The room is super clean and have everything you need even the remote controlled bidet in the toilet. I also love the smell of the body lotion as well as Evian water provided in the room. Very nice amenities selection. Thank you for great hospitality and awesome stay.
The hotel is new and cool, it is a motel type as
it doesn't provide full service and there is no
room service as well the restaurant is not
operational during lunch or dinner. The
restaurant only serves breakfast and it is very
limited as you can only choose one main
course, but the offering are super great
quality and served in a cool environment.
The check-in area is on level 16, like any Moxy
is a bar where you are served choices of
welcome drink which is a nice change instead
of being served a standardize one. The rooftop
also offers an outdoor area and panoramic
view of Seoul.
The room is quite nice, simple and spacious.
The bathroom is also spacious compared to
other motel. The bed is super comfortable,
they also offer connected Google Chrome and
Netflix, but the setup is Korean and the Netflix
needs you to login so don't forget to
check-out. As a bonus, I think this is the one of
the few motel that offer Evian as in room
water amenity.
The waiting area on level 1 is also quite nice
with oversized projector and gaming options.
And being in the heart of insadong, you can
walk at the heart of old classic Korean street
but renewed in cafe style and restaurant as
well as shops perfect for a date.
All in all, I would recommend as the hotel is
quite convenience in location being right in
front of subway.
Didn't see many reviews on this hotel. Never tried the brand Moxy neither. But still decided to give it a go because it is managed by Marriott and secondly it is located in Jongno 3(Sam) Ga Metro Station. I have stayed in this area before (Ibis Insadong) and has a good impression in this neighborhood.
Turns out the stay didn't disappoint me and my companion. The location is really good as Jongno 3(Sam) Ga Metro Station is located in three Metro lines which makes travelling around easy. We took taxi on a few occasions and the price is also reasonable to go to Myeongdong and Hongdae. The hotel itself also close to Ikseon-dong which is newly emerged as one of the popular Hanok Village with hip cafes, restaurants and shops among youngsters. At night, there are many street stalls (Pojangmacha food stall. / 포장마차) and many restaurants nearby.
The room itself is not large but I love its design a lot. Everything in the room is practical and in good quality. The bed is very comfortable and one good point to mention that they got air-con in the winter time while their window could be opened which is a lifesaver for those who are not used to the heater. The front desk staff in Moxy is conversant in English, making communication easy and hassle free. A slight downside is that the nearest airport bus station to Incheon is around 10 minute walk but the bus schedule is very frequent which outweigh the cons.
Will definitely reconsider Moxy when I visit Seoul again next time.
