Reviews from visitors:
My stay at the Thompson in Seattle started with Ashley W. personally showing me around the neighborhood. She was super knowledgeable and knew the history and upcoming plans of all the neighborhood staples. Stephanie was SUPER HELPFUL when checking me in and Brynn became my favorite part of the lobby. She was friendly and made sure I enjoyed all that I could from the hotel. The view from the Thompson is incredible but the staff is world-class.
Overall a good experience with this hotel. It was our first time here.
The location is great in downtown because you are close to other hotels, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, the pier you name it.
Staff displayed Good service but we want to highlight DREW’S service (young - Asian gentleman) at the front desk. He is very friendly, polite, helpful and proactive. You made our stay better!
The color palette on the decor not my favorite it creates a dark and cold ambience. It would be nice to find lighter colors. The mirrors on the closet’s doors have a design that do not allow you to check your clothes, makeup, etc because they block the light.
I would suggest you inform your guests during check in about the changes/options on housekeeping service. We stayed 4 days - 3 nights and nobody cleaned or organized our rooms. At the end of our stay the trash cans were full and we had plenty dirty towels. Usually you just leave your room and during the day someone organize a little bit unless you have the “DONT DISTURB” sign. I would say due to covid 19 there were short handed but it would be helpful to know what to do expect on this matter.
Modern, high end rooms. Very clean and comfortable. When the restaurant and bar are open, you are in for a treat. Staff could not be better.
Do not waste your money here. From reservation issues to long waits to poor customer service, it was a bad experience. If you pay for a room with a view, expect not to get one. We ended up switching rooms for 50 dollars more after seeing one brown building out a small window. The elevator was having problems as well, plus you can't order any food because of covid. This was my 30th birthday getaway and i was very disappointed.
We upgraded for a water view and couldn’t be any happier! This hotel is my favorite in the downtown Seattle area. The views are breath-taking and the hospitality is excellent. The room was clean and the coffee was wonderful. Drew at the front desk is accommodating and incredibly kind. He offered us champagne upon arrival (thank you Drew!) and let us enjoy cocktails in the lounge. He checked in with us about our stay in the morning and held our bags in the front office while we walked around the Market Place. Everything was perfect. Thank you!!!
