Reviews from visitors:
Two nights stay at this lovely, ex-mansion B & B in a nice, quiet neighborhood, but near urban accoutrements. Easy parking. A large room with a king bed and period furnishings. A delicious breakfast. Perfect hostess, Ana. Comme il faux.
Great location, reasonable price, and friendly and delicious breakfast service.
Pros:
-The owner Ana is so friendly and wonderful. She went above and beyond to cater to gluten free and dairy free breakfasts for us.
-We always looked forward to the delicious coffee and food.
-The location is amazing. So close to downtown, but far away enough that it's quiet.
-The mansion is very neat- it has an air of mystery about it.
-Our room was clean.
-It's really fun to be able to chat with other guests over breakfast.
Cons:
-Street parking can be inconvenient.
-You're not able to adjust the heat in the room.
-There were generic "gym" soap dispensers in the bathroom (not small travel size lotions, etc...).
-The owner had a party the first night we came and as we were falling asleep some tipsy party members found themselves upstairs and attempted to get into our room- which was disconcerting. Additionally, when the party was going on, we were not able to use the communal areas.
-Also, any smells of food cooking downstairs will make its way upstairs into the rooms.
Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here if you're into the unique charms that bed and breakfasts have. This one is especially interesting because of the history of the mansion.
Fabulous hospitality. Historic house...Brenda and Anna attended to our every need. Attention to detail was outstanding from comfy beds, highquality bed linen to snacks and refreshments available all day. Fabulous breakfast(Brenda even shared her recipes). Great location. Spotlessly clean with great location in a quiet leafy suburb yet very accessible by bus to city centre. I would highly recommend this little gem.
Great B&B option near volunteer park. Location is good as you can walk to restaurants. 104 year old home. Stayed in Elliott Bay suite which has a large bathroom, a main bedroom and side sitting room. Multiple windows open to allow in a breeze. Church parking lot is what is seen out the windows and the skyline is blocked by trees beyond. But I'm not complaining.
