Reviews from visitors:
This experience was bad. All around bad. It began when we tried to park at the hotel. There was a car fire in Seattle and we had to wait about two hours until we could check-in. We called the W to ask about how to check-in. Emma, spoke down to us about how she didn’t know anything and couldn’t provide any updates and was responsible for the ‘city’. No ask to follow up or call us back to try to connect for an update. When we called an hour later, I asked for the concierge, as I assumed they might be more helpful. I was told that the front desk was handling all of these requests and again that there was no update that I just needed to, ‘try again’ to see if we were allowed to get to the hotel. When we arrived for check-in at almost 5pm. There were no parking attendants on duty. Three cars were parked in the bay and no one was coming to move the cars. I sat on Seneca for almost 10 minutes. Finally, my wife went to check-in and I was able to maneuver into a small area off the street. As I entered the hotel, there were two more cars behind me waiting to try to park. I approached the two cars and managed to help explain to them what was going on. They seemed annoyed. When I entered the front desk staff was dressed in leather jacket as if she were going to a club. When I explained that there were multiple people waiting to park she cut me off and simple said,”it’s because you all showed up at once.” I do love a good victim blaming from hotel staff. Next, our room. My wife had requested a blanket and two robes in her reservation, these were not provided. While not the end of the world, we had to call for multiple items that were not in the room, towels, laundry bag, and no soap ( I was able to find a maid that helped me out). While these are all minor items, the real kick in the teeth was that the next morning when we checked out that they had staged too many cars in the leaving area and I was blocked in. The parking attended said that he would move the white Suburban right away. We sat for several minutes until he finally walked inside and never returned. At the 8 minute mark, I found a way to maneuver my car around and leave this sad excuse for a luxury hotel. Only to find out that they had billed our account twice! Whatever the W was. It isn’t that now. We will no longer plan to stay at this chain going forward. The Staff at the BEst Western Navigator in Everett was 100 times more polite and friendly than this premiere hotel.
Nice cozy rooms aimed at the hipsters kids. Views are pretty much city views but the location is great! Doormen/valet can be kind of pretentious but otherwise it usually feels pretty comfortable.
If I could give me a zero stars I would. We stayed in room 2317 for two nights this weekend. Monday at 6am they left a voicemail to give the front desk a call PLUS they left a pice of paper inside our room telling us to call the front desk because our card was "declined". As soon as we cleared things up with the front desk by 8:30am housecleaning opened the door while my spouse was naked. We travel all over the United States and visit Marriott hotels all of the time. This was by far our most uncomfortable stay at a Marriott. Simply rude.
One of my favorite hotels in Seattle. The rooms are modern and clean. Currently their restaurant is only open for takeout on Fri and Sat nights, but it's normally one of my places.
Enjoyed my stay at W Seattle. 4 stars plus services and amenities. Excellent comfy bed and pillows. The only downside was the outrageous price for parking.
