Reviews from visitors:
First and last time at a staypineapple. I was told we got a very good room with a great view of the space needle. Didn't mention the stage-front view of the power lines and tree from the third floor room.
Prior to booking, I called the hotel to book a room around 2:30pm and told them I was a half hour drive away. They said check in is at 3pm, and the room should be ready by the time we got there. After arriving we started getting the "it will be a few minutes" and "let me check with housekeeping", we finally got checked in after waiting around 5pm when the room was ready. By that time the dry sunny weather was gone and it was pouring heavy rain.
I asked about the pool before I booked the room. They said you can reserve the pool for 45 minutes increments at the front desk. A half hour later we arrived. While we were waiting I asked if I could reserve a time for the pool. They said all the times had been booked since that morning and there was a long waiting list. They said there was no chance of us getting to use the pool. The pool was 50% of the reason we picked that hotel.
The next morning I called down to the front desk to ask if we could get a late check-out. Maybe 30 extra minutes. I mentioned that we had to wait 2 hours past check-in the prior day. They told me no. They already gave a bunch of other people late check-outs and couldn't allow any more.
Overall, felt very unwelcome. There was construction going on in the basement. Communication was so bad between the front desk and housekeeping. The associate actually had to go up the elevator multiple times to get estimate on when the room would be ready. I also had an allergic reaction, probably due to pet friendly rooms.
The building is coming along beautifully- very colorful and rooms/Lobby designed well. Location of the building is great. Parking is very expensive and hard to get in and out of parking garage- but happy they have one. The service needs some serious training. One person at the desk is overwhelming. You can easily tell the staff is unhappy with their job (except one gentleman- he was friendly and helpful). Otherwise, you hardly saw a smile at all. You get skipped in getting help, calling to the front desk is too long of a wait. Room door keys frequently do not function. Only the elevator can take you to the lobby and with Covid restrictions you wait a while.
Such a refreshing hotel compared to most places. From the ambiance, effeciency and staff, everything was wonderful! And the staff could not be more helpful or patient. Especially Lacey the General Manager, thank you! A great feeling of a boutique hotel, especially for the price!
Best choice we could have possibly made. Cool, trendy, clever, innovative, comfortable. Incredible staff and cookies. Most dog friendly hotel we've seen. Would definitely stay here again!
This place had everything we were looking for. Clean and comfortable and the staff was very courteous. Very Dog friendly, unlimited bottled water and coffee.
We will definitely be staying in another pineapple hotel!
